The series’ supporting cast stars Maeyama Kuuga plays the role of Ueda Tane, younger brother of Minoru, Harada Ryuji portrays the character of Ueda Koji, Furuhata Seika plays the role of Ohata Rei, and Tamada Shiroi in the character of Nao, collegemate of Minoru, who has an interest in him. Viewers feel the drama series is filled with cuteness between the chemistry of the main leads and Tane.

Our Dining Table Episode 5- Recap
The series focuses on Minoru and Yukata and how their relationship developed, with Tane introducing them accidentally. The 5th episode of Our Dining Table premiered on 4 May 2023 for the viewers to enjoy and showed a peak at Yukata and Minoru’s childhood which was drastically different from each other. Yukata grew up abandoned by his adoptive parents, while Minoru grew up with a loving and encouraging mother.
Yukata was bullied by his adopted siblings for the way he ate while Minrou’s mother made delicious meals for him to enjoy. The episode starts with Minoru dreaming about his childhood days when his mother was alive. He dreamt of the day he returned from a baseball match and was sad about being the reason his team lost the game. His mother encouraged him by saying you tried while giving him his favorite home-cooked meal.
Minoru woke up from his dream from Yukata’s message informing him they would talk another time. Minoru contemplated sending Yukata a message stating he was there for him if he wanted to talk. The story flashes back to a day prior when Yukata and Minoru were in a supermarket with Tane when they coincidentally met Yukata’s elder sibling, who taunted him for being in a high-class place.
Yukata is in a foul mood the following day as he remembers his elder brother taunting and bullying him through their childhood. Minoru is also sad as he remembers his mother before she passed away. On their way home, Minoru is visited by Nako, who tells him he needs to come back to college and he is not responsible for carrying his family’s burden.
The 5th episode ended with Minoru gifting Yukata a photo of him, Tane, and Yukata from the day they went camping. The next day Yukata is smiling after seeing the photo gifted to him by Minoru, and his colleagues see his mood has changed.
Our Dining Table Episode 6 Spoilers
The next episode will focus on further development in Minoru’s and Yukatas’ relationship, as Tane acts as the glue holding them together. Yukata will be seen reminiscing his days as a child who didn’t get to celebrate Christmas or any other festival with his family as Christmas is around the corner. He tries to cope with his trauma, and the perfect opportunity comes when Tane invites him to celebrate Christmas with Minoru and him. Yukata decides to celebrate Christmas with them, and he grows closer to Minoru as they spend time together.
Yukata realizes that it isn’t important to share a meal, but it is nice to share a meal with the ones they love. The episode will have some romantic moments between Minoru and Yukata, so their fans should be ready for an overload of cute moments. This episode can see Minoru and Yukata coming into a relationship. It will be interesting to see what will be the next step in Minoru’s and Yukata’s lives with Yukata’s toxic family’s involvement.
